FL Intercalar
Characteristics
The aluminum profiles are extruded in aluminum alloy 6060 T5 for architecture according to standard NP EN 12020-02.
The FL – Intercalary Facade system is a product composed of a set of profiles, seals, and accessories that allows the execution of curtain wall facade typologies in aluminum and glass, using a base structure composed of mullions and transoms including fixed or movable frames, making their distinction from the outside imperceptible.
In this facade system, the glass is installed by fixing aluminum clamps that are screwed to the head of the mullions/transoms, and the clamps fit into a technical groove, which is sealed during glass manufacturing. The joint between the various glasses is sealed with black structural silicone or a black EPDM gasket. This way, the glass completely hides the profiles, giving this type of facade an all-glass exterior appearance, thus providing a VEC-type effect - Bonded Exterior Glass.
The section of mullions and transoms is 65 mm, visible only from the interior. Both profiles have drainage and ventilation channels that ensure, together with the EPDM gasket system, maximum tightness and permeability.
Technical characteristics of the system
• Mullions and transoms with 65 mm visible section;
• Mullions ranging from 60 mm to 210 mm in depth and adequate inertia;
• Reinforcement in aluminum profile or galvanized steel;
• Mullion-transom connection with straight cut and dowel at the ends of the transoms;
• Mullion-transom connection through frontal union and sealing top to absorb possible thermal expansions;
• Mullions anchored to the slab through properly dimensioned parts;
• Structure tightness ensured by triple sealing through maritime-quality EPDM gaskets;
• Frame profile assembled with miter joints with prior insertion of filling;
• Frame profile fixed to the structure through stainless steel self-tapping screws type A2;
• Projecting opening type indistinguishable from the exterior of fixed openings.
Opening Possibilities
The projecting opening is performed by stainless steel hinges with a resistance of up to 180 kg. In the projecting leaves, the glass is installed using perimeter frame profiles, on which a specially anodized profile is placed to allow bonding with structural silicone.
Finishes
All aluminum profiles allow all finishing possibilities:
• lacquered;
• decorative lacquered (wood);
• anodized.
Performances
• System certified by accredited laboratory, notified for Initial Type Tests (ITT) according to product standard EN 13830:2015 + A1:2020 for CE Marking.
Categories achieved in the evaluation of the FL-Intercalary system, including projecting window:
• Air permeability: Class A4 (test standards EN 12153:2000; EN 12152:2000)
• Water tightness: Class RE750 (test standards EN 12155:2000; EN 12154:2000)
• Wind resistance: SUITABLE - 1500 Pa (test standards EN 12179:2000; EN 13116:2001).
Application zones according to RCCTE (depending on Ug value): I1, I2, I3, V1, V2, V3
