Kristal Pivot
120mm
System Features
Aluminium system with thermal break for constructing minimalist vertical pivot pedestrian door openings.
Aluminium Profiles
• Aluminium profiles are extruded in 6060/6063 architectural aluminium alloys according to standard NP EN 12020-02.
• Thermal break profiles are made by inserting polyamide 6.6 bars reinforced with 25% fibreglass.
• Average aluminium profile thickness: 2 mm;
Fixed Frames
• Perimeter fixed frame section: 120 mm for mitered assembly;
• Possibility to apply interior or exterior trims;
• Grille profile for bottom drainage;
• Concealed drainage.
Movable Frames
• Minimal visible section for movable frames with straight cut and clip-in assembly;
• Insulated double glazing with secondary silicone seal from 32.4 mm to 32.8 mm total thickness, composed of exterior tempered or heat-strengthened glass and interior laminated or laminated-tempered glass;
• Perimeter polymer track bonded to the entire edge of the insulating glass with black structural silicone;
• Recommended structural silicones: Dow Corning 791 black or Sikasil SG20 black.
Sizing and Operability
• Minimum – maximum leaf width: 800 mm – 2000 mm;
• Minimum leaf height: 1700 mm;
• Maximum sash area: 7 m²;
• Maximum weight per leaf: 300 kg;
• Door types: 1, 2, 3, or 4 vertical pivot leaves, opening inward or outward;
• Possibility of combination with the Kristal Sliding System;
• KRISTAL - Pivot system enables easy opening of the sash, even in extreme configurations of weight or size;
• Openings with over 95% glazed area/light transmission;
• Air permeability and water tightness ensured by brushes and marine-grade EPDM gaskets;
• Option to apply mechanical or electromechanical lock.
Performance • System certified by a notified laboratory for Initial Type Testing (ITT) according to product standard EN 14351-1:2008+A1:2011 for CE Marking purposes.
Expected classification in the evaluation of the KRISTAL door system:
• Air permeability: Class 3 (test standards EN 10207 and EN 1026)
• Water tightness: Class 5B (test standards EN 10208 and EN 1027)
• Wind resistance: Class C5 (test standards EN 12210 and EN 12211)
Thermal transmittance coefficient for a 1-leaf Pivot Door measuring 2 m x 3 m with glazing Ug = 0.9 W/m²K and “Warm Edge” spacer:
• Uw = 1.16 W/m²K
Acoustic attenuation coefficient for a 1-leaf Pivot Door with 8/16/44.2 acoustic glazing:
• Rw (C ; Ctr) = 38 dB (–2, –4)
Application zones according to REH and RECS regulations (based on Ug value): I1, I2, I3, V1, V2, V3;
