The Aluminium-Wood system AM-Concealed Sash was designed to meet the requirements of a construction concept that, through the strength and versatility of aluminium on the outside and the comfort and elegance of natural wood on the inside, ensures energy efficiency, comfort, and sustainability — creating added value between tradition and modernity.

The Aluminium-Wood system AM-Concealed Sash features a 16 mm chamber that allows the use of special hardware with three-dimensional adjustment for increased performance, efficiency, and security.

The AM-Concealed Sash system allows the use of high-performance double or triple glazing to meet the thermal and acoustic insulation requirements set out by Directive 2010/31/EU.

With excellent thermal insulation combined with the integration of an innovative insulating product between profiles — called ThermoProfile bars — the AM-Concealed Sash system offers high comfort and energy efficiency performance, complying with the requirements of Decree-Law no. 194/2015 and Ordinance 379-A/2015.

Aluminium Profiles with Thermal Break

The aluminium profiles are extruded in alloy 6060 for architecture, according to standard NP EN 12020-02.

Thermal break is achieved by inserting omega-type polyamide insulating bars of 20 mm and 24 mm, reinforced with 25% fibreglass.

Average aluminium profile thickness: 1.7 mm.

The external aluminium frames are joined to the internal wooden trims using independent fastenings with clips at intervals of 200 mm / 250 mm.

This connection method ensures proper absorption of the different expansion rates between the two materials.

Wood Profiles

The profiles are made of solid natural wood with a maximum length of 2.45 m.

Surface finished with matte varnish.

Available in various wood types including:

Cherry, French oak, beech, and sapelli.

Other wood types available upon request.

As wood is a natural material, it may display variations in tone and texture.

Fixed Frames

Fixed frame section: 77 mm with triple chamber;

Traditional fixed frame for the domestic market;

Fixed frame with external clip and internal wood trim of 20 or 40 mm for the French market;

Fixed frame for the Concealed Sash version, offering a more minimalist look and greater glazing transparency.

Movable Frames

Movable frame section: 92 mm with triple chamber;

Sizing and Operability

Minimum – maximum sash dimensions (W / H): 441 mm – 1240 mm (W); 520 mm – 2370 mm (H);

Maximum weight for tilt-and-turn windows or French windows: up to 130 kg (glass + aluminium + wood);

Maximum weight for bottom-hung windows: up to 60 kg (glass + aluminium + wood);

Opening types: fixed, inward casement (1 or 2 sashes) with tilt-and-turn and bottom-hung options;

Double or triple glazing thickness from 32 mm to 36 mm in the Aluminium-Wood AM-Concealed Sash system;

Mandatory use of “Warm Edge” spacers in double or triple glazing for the AM-Concealed Sash system;

Sealing ensured through interior and central thermo-acoustic EPDM gaskets of marine-grade quality.

Performance

System certified by a notified laboratory for Type Testing (TT) in accordance with the product standard EN 14351-1:2006+A2:2016 for CE Marking purposes.
